Trip to Skoog Farm

This morning started off with gorgeous sunshine and cool temperatures.  So we started this morning with yet another invigorating walk with Miss Millie.  We enjoyed a nice breakfast and hung around the boat till mid morning when we took off (in the car) to Skoog Farm.  Lori and Gary Skoog are dear friends of ours that we met years ago while cruising on the canal.  We love to see them whenever we are in the area.  So today we stopped by for a visit and took them to lunch.  There is something about their home and farm that just warms my soul.  The weather was perfect and the company even better.

Lori and Gary are truly some of the kindest
most loving people I know.

Hmm Millie what do you think?

As always the flowers are stunning.

Miss Millie enjoyed her visit to Skoog Farm.  Only problem was we didn't get a picture of her buddy Little Wonder.

Miss Millie helping Gary pick some spinach.

These beautiful strawberries were dropped off by some friends of the Skoogs in exchange for some rhubarb.  They were yummy!

Such wonderful friends are truly a blessing.

They even sent us back to the boat with fresh spinach, strawberries and some of Lori's yummy bean salad. Oh what a feast we will have with these.

It has been a stupendous day!
