Lyons Day 3

Our Sunday morning started early with a walk.  As we left the boat we saw our new friend, Bob Stopper, a delightful canal greeter, and knower of all Lyons has to offer visiting with the sailors that had come in the night before during the storm. We stopped to talk with him and the gentlemen on the sailboat.  Found out they are transiting through to get their new boat up to the North Chanel in Canada.

It was a splendid morning for our walk.

We returned back to the boat and someone made it well know that it was time to eat.  

Puppy snuggles with Dad then a nap.  

We loved how this gentleman on the hire boat docked behind us put his chair up on the roof.  

Millie has found a new place to lay down while we are eating.  Right on the galley floor.  I think she is looking for anything I may have dropped while preparing meals.

Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m we had an appointment to tour the Historic Peppermint Oil Factory.  We had heard about this place before but had never taken the time to tour, today was the day.  The tour was very interesting and the docent, Patty was delightful and very knowledgeable about the history of this place and it's owner.  

"Peppermint Patty". 

What an absolutely delightful and knowledgeable woman.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and left with a wonderful bag of goodies.  

By this time light rain was falling so back to the boat we headed.  We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and taking care of a few things on the boat.  I had put some chicken in the crockpot that morning so we had that with some parmesan noodles and bean salad for dinner.  We enjoyed a FaceTime call with three of our Grandsons after dinner and then went for a short walk.  It was a wonderful relaxing day.  

Tomorrow we are off to Clyde.
