Fathers Day in Macedon

Oh what a beautiful morning!  Not a cloud in the sky.  It was though only 48 degrees when I woke up, but I will take that any day over 90+ degrees.  Today would be a bit of a busy day preparing things for our departure.  Like most every morning since we arrived in New York we started with an enjoyable morning walk with Miss Millie. Hopefully we can keep up this routine when we return to Ohio.  

After breakfast I worked on some laundry while Mike dug into figuring out what was wrong with the holding tank for the head or better known on board as "the poo tank". Out of all the problems on a boat this is one you just kind of cringe when something isn't quite right with it.  So Mike the "fix-it" man that he is delved right into the job quickly after breakfast, on Father's Day no less.  This job entails pulling up a great portion of the galley floor.  But after some alterations and a trip to the pump out station he had things all fixed and in working order.  

Since the pump out station and the gas pumps are all located in the same place he decided to fill up the tanks.  70 gallons later and oh did you hear that credit card go UGH! we had a full tank for our return in a couple of weeks.  We did some figuring last night on how much money was spent on this adventure and considering that fuel was our biggest expense we still spent way under what we would have spent driving somewhere and staying in hotels and eating out.  Plus to quote Mike there was no "bag drag". Plus the fact we save up all year for these trips. 

After completing as many preparations for leaving as we could we took the rest of the afternoon just to rest up for our trip home.  Since it was Fathers Day we decided to go out for dinner.  Mike's first choice, a local diner in town was closed for the day, we ended up at PF Changs over in the mall.  We had a lovely dinner eating out on their porch.  Lettuce Wraps, which reminded us of Lori and Gary Skoog (we first had these with them), a California roll and then Mike ordered a Dragon Roll.  Dinner was so good and very relaxing.

After dinner we headed back to the marina.  A certain little pup was eager for some dinner and a walk afterwards.  

After a lovely walk around the marina we returned to the boat and simply hung out on the back talking and enjoying the evening.  Miss Millie loves climbing up on Mike.  She specially loves being able to see EVERYTHING going on.  

It was a great, relaxing evening and we were ready for our departure on Monday.
