Special guests aboard in Brockport

Wednesday morning and we are back in Brockport.  We once again shared the dock with two hire boats.  Boat traffic on the canal this year seems to be a bit sparse other than the hire boats.  I guess the cost of fuel is keeping some folks away. 

We went for our morning walk and as usual the reflections were grand.  This morning though there was much more cloud cover than we have had in the past mornings, but it only added to the days adventure.

After breakfast I took Millie for another walk and Mike worked on getting the boat ready as we were expecting guests this morning.

As the morning progressed the sun started peeking out from behind the clouds. 

Miss Millie was keeping a close eye out for our guests.

Mid morning our friends Lori and Gary Skoog arrived and look who came along, Little Wonder.  We were so excited to see this little one.  It would be his first boat ride ever.  How privileged we were to be able to take him and his Mom and Dad out for a morning cruise.  Oh and they brought donuts, yum!

Little Wonder and his Mom soon found a comfortable spot to spend the morning.  Here Lori is photographing her little man, you see she has a blog too and Little Wonder if frequently featured.

So we were off to Holley for a little cruise on the canal.

What a happy face.  Little Wonder was doing really well for his first cruise.  He was becoming a real "salty dog".

These two amazing people hold such a special place in our hearts and our lives.  

Lori too, loves the clouds.

Miss Millie spent the morning going around making sure everyone was comfortable and of course looking for some attention.

The only part Little Wonder didn't like was going under 

the bridges.

Once we were past the bridges the smile would return to his face.  Such a good boy!

It was a wonderful morning spent with some very special people.  We look forward to doing it again next year on our way through.  

Lori I think Little Wonder wants to come back again next year!

After saying our good-byes in Brockport we headed out over to Spencerport where we would be spending the evening.  The clouds this afternoon were oh so spectacular!  

The formation of the clouds made you want to lay in the grass, look up at them and come up with what they might look like.  I can remember doing such a thing when I was a child.  

We arrived in Spencerport about an hour later.  Walked over to the grocery store for provisions.  Headed back to the boat for some well deserved showers and then relaxed once again.  Mike said I am finally starting to get the hang of this relaxing business.  

Later I heated up some leftovers for dinner and we spent the evening outside the boat on the dock watching folks walking by and enjoying a gorgeous evening.  Oh and we did walk across the canal to check out the pump out station that we would be visiting the next morning.  It's been a very enjoyable day but we were both exhausted and I personally was happy to climb into my bunk for a good nights sleep.
